Welcome to Summer Camp 2008!

Check out the Dover Oaks Stables Summer Camp 2007 Photo Album HERE.

We are very excited for our second summer camp at Dover Oaks. We hope your child has an educational and fun filled time developing their horsemanship. Each session will build on the previous session to provide a complete program, and each week we will also discuss a different aspect of safety. The AQHA Junior Master Horseman program will enhance the curriculum.

You are welcome to leave helmets and boots at the farm. Please make sure everything is labeled. Children must have a change of clothes and extra socks. We get dirty! Your child must be signed in and out every day, and will have a folder with information to go home, and handouts for parents. Please let us know if your child's lunch needs refrigeration. Please pack plenty to eat and drink for lunch and two hearty snacks. If you would like to bring a special snack to share, please check with Ms. Pam.

Following is a checklist of items your child will need:

   1. Riding helmet
   2. Sturdy boots with a 1"heel and smooth sole.
   3. Hearty lunch labeled and dated
   4. Sunscreen and chapstick
   5. Complete change of clothes, extra socks
   6. House shoes/slippers or slipper socks
   7. Disposable camera - optional

Your child is welcome to bring personal items, such as a Nintendo. Please remember we cannot be responsible for these items. If you have a horse book or movie your child would like to share, please check with Ms. Pam before bringing it to camp. We will be taking many pictures this summer, and reserve the right to use them for our program. We will make copies for families by request.

You may drop off your child as early as 7:30AM and pick up as late as 5:30PM. Please let us know if you, or your child, have any questions or concerns.
